Rod Buffington is a watercolour quilt painter. He approached some of Americas leading quilt artists to collaborate in an exhibition and this resulting book. He interviewed each of the artist and they came up with the basics for a block and a concept for the quilt. The quilt artist went away and chose their fabrics, they sent samples of the fabric to Rod and that was the end of the collaboration. Rod created painting based on his interpretation of the quilts concept and the quilters made their quilts. The back of the book features each of the quilt artist with the original concept that they went away with, it is amazing how the quilts and pictures grew.
